  1. Foot Ball History By: AL-Jazi Al-Suwaidi

  2. Choose a FIFA World Cup Competition to research and communicate when and where the competition was held. Communicate this in your introduction. I decided to choose FIFA world cup 2010. The country that hosted 2010 world cup is South Africa. There were 16 teams in the whole world cup.

  3. Who were the finalists, who won, include the score. The teams in the Semi-finals are Uruguay, Spain, Netherlands and Germany. The teams that got to the finals were Spain and Netherlands. Spain won the game and the score was 1:0. Player 6 Andres Iniesta scored the goal when the defender slipped and fell.

  4. What was the scoring sequence and who scored? The mach that I chose to do the scoring sequence is South AfricavsMexico. At first no one scored until the 54th minute Bafana Bafana’s Siphiwe Tshabalala in South Africa’s team score the first goal. Then by the 79th minute in Mexico’s team Rafael Marquez scored the last goal. This led the game to end up a tie.

  5. Choose 1 of the goals and describe using Football terminology the sequence of play leading up to the goal. Ranaldo shoots a far kick to Rafael Marquez. The defense player tried to stop it with his head but he missed. Rafael Marquez controls the ball and kicks the ball hard with an inside kick heading right at the goal. While the goalkeeper slips trying to stop the ball. Letting the ball through.

  6. What could the defense have done to more effectively try and stop the goal being scored? The defense could have been more ready. Because when the ball was about to be shot it look as if they were surprised. None was marking Rafael Marquez and that is why he scored. They also weren’t tackling the ball.

  7. Using the same scoring sequence what individual skills have been used by the attacking team? The attacker that were off the ball where blocking the defenders. Some of them where moving around and trying to be open but others where standing in the same place.

  8. Was there any movement ‘off the ball’ by other attackers to draw defenders away from the goal scorer? If yes what happened and what was the effect of this? No because the defenders where very far away for the player that scored and they were no able to get there in time before the score.
