  1. Florida Disaster Reservist Program

  2. Purpose • Lack of permanent specialists • Trained to assist in Recovery efforts both during and after a disaster

  3. Activation & Deployment • Activated during Presidentially Declared Disasters • Contacted by our automated calling system • Used in any position in which they qualify • Most often as DRC Managers or CR Team Members

  4. Requirements • 18 years-old with high-school diploma (or equivalent) • Time and Commitment to complete training • On-site training • FEMA Independent Study Courses • Ability to serve 15 consecutive days

  5. Compensation and Benefits • Paid OPS positions • $15/hour with time and half for overtime • Compensated for expenses • Emergency Management experience • Opportunity to help your community

  6. Help! • 200 Reservists • Provide essential services to the counties • Purpose is to assist the counties
