BUSINESS PLAN Personal Information Missions and Aims • My mission is to provide people within cowley and oxfordshire with cheaper dvds than all other dvd rentals, then eventually all over the uk with top quality dvds new and old. And be the number 1 seller in the uk. • In order to make my mission become reality in need to firstly stack up on stock • Secondly I need to get lots of buyers within cowley and then oxfordshire renting the games and dvds and giving it publicity. • Eventually, once uk dvd rentals gets lots of publicity and good feedback I am hoping that people from all over the uk will be renting our games and dvds as we rent them out for cheaper than the top leading dvd rentals such as blockbuster, with the fantastic quality.

We rent and sell a wide variety of films and games, uk dvd rentals also has lots of discount offers on aswell. fg There are approximately 160,000 people in oxfordshire, with about a quatre of these interested in renting games and films which is 80,000 to start off with. First year turnover is 3 million. My first year profit will be 1.4 million £48,000 shop, £200,000 dvds + games, £50,000 postal costs, 10% (£300,000) goes to charity.

Your first few steps... • Firstly i am going to get a loan of £250,000from the bank. • Secondly i am going to rent out a shop to keep all my dvds and games. • Thirdly i am going to stack up on stock ( 100,000 dvds and games) • Finnaly i am going to do allot of advertising and get the business lots of publicity. i will be the only owner of the business but i will get 2 close family members to help me with organizing the stock etc. Facilities and Location(s) I am going to hire out a shop in the centre of town which will be good for publicity and will gain allot of customers.

  8. BUSINESS PLAN The Market Market Trends There is less movies being made in this day and age as people are not as interested in going to the cinema to watch them. People watch them online or on blue ray. Market Growth There is not much market growth in the DVD rental industry as not as many films are being made due to people watching films online instead of buying them. Market Industry Analysis The industry of renting DVDs and buying them is also dying out as many people find watching movies online allot cheaper and easier. Main Competitors Blockbusters, movie gallery, and all the other well established DVD rental companies, pirate DVDs.

  9. BUSINESS PLAN Management Team I will be the full owner of the company, but im going to hire a very experienced person in the dvd industry to help me out and give me advise etc. im also going to use one of my close family members to help me with the stock/ finance etc.
