  2. Changes to PACT Coordination and Leadership Team • Due to restructuring and budget, PACT Department Coordinator positions have been dissolved. The COE PACT Coordinator is responsible for supporting each department. If particular duties are needed at the department level that are beyond the COE PACT Coordinator’s role or expertise, faculty will be hired to complete tasks using stipends from the PACT budget. • Nina Potter, as the Director of Assessment, oversees and works collaboratively with the COE PACT Coordinator to manage and complete all COE PACT related duties.

  3. The COE, STE and PACT Team (Cathy and Nina especially!) Would Like to Thank and Acknowledge the PACT Work of… • Carol Prime, as the STE PACT Coordinator from 2008-2010 • We would not be where we are today with the PACT implementation process as a College of Ed. or STE Department without Carol’s leadership, database skills, hard work, commitment, Blackboard and web innovations, and creative ingenuity. • THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR OUR FACULTY AND STUDENTS!!!

  9. A Few Goals for PACT This Year - • Meeting in course-alike groups to examine key Teaching Events by content area to analyze to better understand the professional growth and development of our teacher education candidates • Balance to Remind Our Students that Our Program prepares them to be Competent Teachers, which in turn prepares them for PACT – We need remind ourselves and our students that the goal is to pass PACT which means getting 2’s, or 3’s. The goal is not to stress and strive toward all 3’s and 4’s to the point that the learning and the joy of the process of learning to teach is lost and PACT becomes the major focus and overwhelmingly stressful event.
