In your pairs discuss whether you agree or disagree with this statement... “Drug dealing is a crime with no victims- people buy drugs because they want to!”

  6. DRUG DEALING IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME • This is Jane, she is a young girl who is addicted to drugs • She has to steal from shops to get enough money to buy Heroin • She lost contact with her family years ago

  7. DRUG DEALING IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME • This is Private Jane Doe • She is a soldier in the British Army, serving in Afghanistan • She is risking her life to prevent drugs from reaching the streets of Britain

  8. DRUG DEALING IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME • This is Hamid, a poppy farmer • He is forced to grow poppies by the Taliban • If he stops producing poppies he will be punished or even killed

  9. DRUGS PAY FOR TERRORISM • The Taliban make their money from drugs • They use this money to buy weapons, train their fighters and support terrorism

  10. Homework Design a poster highlighting the victims of the trade in Heroin. This poster should aim to persuade people to avoid buying drugs by showing them where their money goes
