  2. Background Conflict of Interest Disclosure No Conflict of interest • In Spain, the number of PLWHIV infection increases every year1. • Around 45-50% of the patients have a delayed diagnosis (<350 CD4/mcl) and 30% advanced disease (<200 CD4/mcl)1 . • Moreover, up to 30% of the HIV patients are unaware of their own status1. • European Guidelines recommend HIV testing in persons with Risk Practices and/or Clinical Conditions (RP&CC) associated with HIV infection2. • RP&CC assessment should be done before indicating HIV testing, but in the clinical practice this is not routinely investigated. • An structured RP&CC Questionnaire could increase a higher implementation of RP&CC assessment, and HIV testing. 1. CNE, ISCIII Annual Report 2013; 2. HIV in Europe, march 2012 www.hiveurope.eu;

  3. Objetive • To assess the Reliability, Feasibility and Predictability of an structured RP&CC Questionnaire. Materials and Methods Results (1) • Patients 18-60 years visiting Emergency Room or Primary Care Center were performed: 1) HIV- Risk Practice and Clinical Conditions Questionnaire 2) HIV-Rapid Test

  4. Results (2) RELIABILITY PREDICTABILITY Conclusions • A reliable and Feasible self RP&CC Questionnaire discriminated all non HIV infected patients without missing any diagnosis. • Screening HIV RP&CC plus HIV testing in patients with RP&CC, offered a more efficient HIV screening strategy. • Best Predictability was obtained when combining Risk Practice and Clinical Conditions items.
