Learner Expectation • Content Standard: 2.0 • Globalization of the economy, the explosion of population growth, technological changes and international competition compel students to understand, both personally and globally, the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. Students will examine and analyze economic concepts such as basic needs versus wants, using versus/saving money, and policy making versus decision making. • Learning Expectations: 3.2.spi.1. distinguish the difference between a natural resource and finished product.

  3. In this activity you will: • Learn to define a natural resource. • Learn the different natural resources. • At the end of this activity you will write about what a natural resource is and name some natural resources.

  4. Natural Resources • Natural resources are things that are found in nature that are useful to people.

  5. Natural Resources We need natural resources to live. Natural resources are things that people and animal can’t live without.

  6. Natural Resources • Water is a natural resource. We can not live without it!

  7. Natural Resources • Other natural resources are plants and soil.

  8. Natural Resources • Animals and fish are also natural resources.

  9. Natural Resources • Some natural resources like oil and coal will be used up if we are not careful.
