  2. Sound • Energy that can be heard. • Caused when things vibrate

  3. Pitch • How high or how low a sound is

  4. Volume • The loudness or softness of a sound

  5. Light • A form of energy that lets you see things- • Example: color

  6. Reflect • To bounce back, like light from a mirror

  7. Absorb • To take something in • Example: colors can be absorbed or reflected

  8. Heat • A form of energy that makes things warmer. • Most heat on Earth comes from the sun.

  9. Conductor • An object that lets heat or electricity go through easily.

  10. Insulator • An object that does not let heat or electricity go through easily

  11. Electricity • A form of energy that can be used to make heat and light, and to power machines

  12. Circuit • A path for an electric current • Often shown in a diagram with a battery, bulb, and wires

  13. Open Circuit • When the path of electricity is broken and the light does not come on

  14. Closed Circuit • When the path of electricity is complete and the light comes on

  15. Switch • A device for turning on or off electricity or an electric current
