The dealy-o • In a nutshell, these sentences will speculate what would have happened (hypothetical situation) IF something else had occurred. • Use the plus-que-parfait, introduced by the word “if” (si) to establish the hypothetical situation:. IfI had “friended” you… • Use the past conditional to state result of the hypothetical situation: …I would have remembered your birthday

  3. Negative Si clause • Si je n’avaispasmangé trop, je n’auraispaseud’ingestion.

  4.
