  1. Stowe Trip - Parent Meeting After picking up a packet... please "check off" the name of your student and find a seat. Have a pen or pencil handy as we will be going over some information that may be important for your son or daughter. Please turn in your insurance forms and balance payment at this time, and check that your room assignment and home phone number in the phone chain are both accurate.

  5. Transportation: Easton Coach Bus departs from North Penn 3 p.m. Mar. 1 Bus returns to North Penn Midnight Sunday

  6. Nothing goes on the bus without being inspected! Students are to store bags and equipment in pool vestibule lobby bathrooms on Friday morning. Please make arrangements to drop off equipment between 7:00 and 7:25 a.m. so security can check everything and students can board the bus and depart promptly after school. The pool vestibule lobby is the entrance with the steps outside the new pool, closest to the front parking lot.

  7. Prescription medicine must be in original bottle and no more than the student will need for the weekend. Parents, please sign a note saying you know what and how much is going (for over-the-counter or prescription medication). NO HOME-MADE FOOD. All food must be pre-packaged and unopened. Please put a name tags on all luggage. Nothing goes on the bus without being inspected! The pool vestibule lobby is the entrance with the steps outside the new pool, closest to the front parking lot.

  8. NEW - official policy from school administration: Students needing to carry prescription medication on the field trip must have a note signed by a physician with complete instructions for dispensing, and a note from the parent/guardian giving permission to administer the medication. Over-the-counter medication must be labeled with the student’s name, grade, and date. A note signed by a physician and/or parent with complete instructions for dispensing the medication must be included. Student should only carry the amount of medication needed for the duration of the trip.

  9. What to bring: In past years, the temperature at Stowe has been below zero, with 2-3 feet of snow falling on some days! Please plan ahead and bring appropriate clothing for all conditions! GLOVES, COAT, SWEATERS, LONG-JOHNS, GATORS, FACE MASKS, LONG SLEEVE T-SHIRTS, HAND/FOOT WARMERS, SCARVES, HATS, GOGGLES Prevent Frostbite! BE PREPARED TO COVER ALL SKIN!!!

  11. Amenities at the Commodores Inn, Stowe, VT A visit to the Commodores Inn includes use of the indoor pool, hot tubs, sauna, locker rooms and game room.Meals included: buffet breakfast and dinner Friday & Saturday, breakfast Sunday at the hotel dining room.

  14. Don't forget money for rest areas & lunch on the mountain! We usually stop for a sit-down dinner on the return trip Monday night!

  15. Cell phones do not always work in the mountains! …so students will have to make a collect call or use a phone card.  There are no phone charges allowed from the hotel. Only room to room.

  16. And now for some rules... NORTH PENN HIGH SCHOOLSKI & BOARD CLUB Students who cause a problem or fail to follow the rules will be sent home at their parents' expense!

  17. It should go without saying (but it won't)... North Penn Ski & Board Club & Banchi Tours run a drug- and alcohol-free trip!

  19. OBEY SKI PATROL AT ALL TIMES!

  20. Do not ski alone! Parents, please talk with your son or daughter about what level at which he or ski should ski. Agree ahead of time on what slopes your student may ski. As chaperones will not be able to ski with all 44 students at once, so making the right choices on the slopes will ultimately be up to him or her. Do NOT ski alone! The Ski & Board Club presented a safety clinic at its second meeting, so club members should know how to classify themselves as skiers. Parents, please raise the issue with your students before the trip!

  22. However, at the inn… If a boy and girl are in a room together... ...the door must be open!

  23. At curfew, chaperones will check that all students We WILL are in their own rooms. be taping Students who open doors! their doors or leave their rooms at any point during the night will not be permitted to ski the following day!

  24. Important Announcements: Any students who need rentals should see me after this meeting! ALL students must turn in their medical permission forms! Please see me if you have any outstanding HOOF obligations! Remember — cell phones do not always work in the mountains! Please make sure we have your current phone number as we will call from the road if the bus is running late!

  25. Know Anyone else interested in skiing... March 1-3, 2013 ? Please continue to help out the North Penn Ski & Board Club! We have room for up to 8 more students (or their parents) to fill all the hotel rooms we’ve reserved for this incredible trip. If you know any students who might be interested, please see Mr. Swindells in A-011. $299 per person includes... Travel on Easton Coach Bus Lines Most meals & all hotel accommodations TWO days of skiing at the BEST resort in the East!
