  1. PLACEMENTS 2010 HELP US HELP YOU

  2. RULES • We expect that companies will make the job profiles clear in the beginning of the placement process through their PPTs or data sent to us beforehand. If a candidate sits for any company, it is evident that he/she is interested in the same. • Once a candidate has applied for a company, he/she is expected to sit for each subsequent round as and when they are selected, unless they have got another offer or other final shortlist. • At a particular time, a candidate can hold at hand a maximum of TWO final short listings, not more.

  3. contd…. • On being selected he/she has to accept the offer on the spot. If the candidate at this stage is not interested and rejects the offer, the candidate will not be eligible for placements until the remaining students are placed. • In case job profiles are not clear initially, or in case of any deviations at a later stage, these will be taken up on a case-to-case basis. • Once acceptance of an offer is made by a candidate , he/she is not entitled to sit for any further recruitment process.

  4. In case of specific jobs, you might have to tailor your resume accordingly and its entirely your responsibility. • The candidate must not leave the campus premises during the placement week. (In emergency situations, contact Akshay, Yamini, Mani, Mayur, Jimcy). • Always rely on authentic information provided by the placement committee information desk. Do not rely on any other source and AVOID RUMOURS!

  5. An information desk will be setup manned by the juniors which will provide information as to basic queries about the companies, location of interview centres etc. • There will be a company coordinator for each company from the placement committee. This will be communicated in advance. The acceptance of an offer, or final short listings will need to be informed to only this coordinator.

  6. DO’s & DONT’s • Keep a copy of resume with you and proper documents such as Degree certificates, Work ex. Certificates, passport size photographs along with a neat folder containing your summer project report and SUPA report. • No candidate is allowed to approach the HR of any of the companies personally .All communications has to go via the placement coordinators. • Please attend all PPT sessions as per the streams and categories.

  7. Remember college reputation and everybody’s career is at stake so no fish markets in the G.D process please :) • Every student has to be well groomed and attired with proper dress code as given below: • Guys: College uniform- Suit with plain white /light colour shirt and tie(No other shirts will be allowed ), Well polished black shoes(No sports shoes), Be Clean shaven. • Girls: Salwaar kameez /formal shirt and trousers/Sarees ( No jeans at all)

  8. SOME THING IMPORTANT • Carry an apple in your bag and be ready for no lunch at all. • Carry your mobile fully charged so as for easy approachability and better communication and keep it available. • Until the whole batch gets placed , let us not celebrate rather be united and help others to get through the process. • Please join in the placements logistics team as volunteers immediately after you get placed.

  9. Let us be more disciplined, committed and punctual during the whole process. STICK TO DEADLINES. NO DEVIATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED. • Before interviews start, the company will be asked to give the order of calling ppl. That order will be strictly followed. • The decision of the placement committee and MANAGEMENT is final and binding.
