  11. What is BVPS? • What are Business Value Planning Services (BVPS): • Partner initiative where partners deliver a 3, 5, 10 or 15 day service engagement to drive customer adoption and create new Partner Services opportunities. • Joint Investment model where Microsoft and Partner share cost • Easy for the customers to consume since the offer is the same regardless of partner • Inexpensive engagement designed to scale, with costs equivalent to DDPS • Targets customers who WANT to adopt • Goals: • Reduce the cost/uncertainty of adoption. • Create a customized business process solution using Information Worker (IW) technologies • Develop relationship between customer and partner • Demonstrate Adoption Best Practices

  12. What is BVPS?

  13. User Adoption Resources • GearUp • BuzzKit • Posters • User Training • Super Users • Communities • Productivity Hub • Training Portal • Community

  14. What is Community doing? • Assemble “Community Site” Template • Based on my experience at ABSA • Input from Microsoft Productivity Hub Template • Input from you, the community • On the informationworker.co.za web site • Roadmap to readiness (for power user, dev, it pro etc) • Page on IW with “how to get started path” • Page on “how to choose the correct training?” • Training providers in SA • Improve discussion areas, specific area for power users • SLABS have power user labs • SharePoint Chop Chop Sessions focused for end user tasks e.g. Gather feedback

  16. Ideas That We Scrapped • SharePoint End/Power User Conference • Road show at organisation’s premises

  17. What Could Partners Do? • Educate customer on the problem • Build adoption into project plan • Hook in with training partners to deliver relevant training

  18. What has worked for some customers in the room • Bragging Site – when user/dept has done something well, they can share it with others so others can get in touch to see how it was done • Brown bag sessions – an hour session where everyone from company is invited to watch a presentation on tips/tricks etc. Could give something away • Hide SharePoint from users – partner did some clever “dev” which means users don’t even know they are using SharePoint. Their day to day task means that “stuff” just ends up in SharePoint without users understanding that
