  2. Introduction • This is to present three ideas for the DTN news assignment: • The first idea is focused around a retail service to the general public. • The second idea was to do with local weather in the Nottinghamshire area. • The third idea is based around a Live music venue in Nottingham.

  3. Retail Services in Nottingham • This retail outlet is a record shop dealing in second hand vinyl records,cd’s, videos,dvd’s and a selection of books and magazines. • The business is situated in Hurts Yard in Nottingham city centre. • It is relevant because many people have an interest in music and this business supplies a large range of genres of music films and at a very competative price. • A VT about a hidden gem retail service in Nottingham. • How long/ specifications? To be confirmed • A group of six people will be involved in this • There will be no costs incurred and I have already spoken to the shop owner and have an agreement as regards being allowed to film at the shop.

Extreme Weather in Nottingham • Based on local weather reports on local radio, Tv, and local councils. • This is relevant to the general public in relation to be informed of local weather conditions.This includes local transport issues.Buses, Trains , cars and safety issues for the general public. • The intention is to ask local people how the weather issues may affect them, and possibly get in touch with local radio and BBC and local council regarding how the collaborate regarding weather issues. • Intend to present a VT for this. • A group of six will be involved in the filming of this • How Long/ specifications? • There will be no costs involved .

Live Events • The Cookie club nightclub based in Nottingham and the comedy club based in Nottingham. • The Cookie club is based in St. Jame’ss street Nottingham near the Old market square.The comedy club appears at various venues in Nottingham and the Midlands. • The Cookie club is putting on live events for local bands to showcase their talents.This will cover different styles of music and should appeal to a lot of the Nottingham public interested in Music events.The comedy club features different comedians and again should appeal to fans of live stand up comedy shows. • The idea is to produce a VT of this. • A group of six people will be involved in this and it is possible to get somebody in from both the Cookie club and comedy club for an interview. • How long/specifications? • There will be no costs involved

  6. MONEY SAVING TIPS • LOOKING AT WAYS TO SAVE MONEY REGARDS THEIR SHOPPING BILLS. • MONEY SAVING TIPS REGARDS SAVING LEFTOVERS FOR ANOTHER MEAL AS AN EXAMPLE.
