Physics Phalsehoods. Each student must find 2 examples in the media where a physics idea has been misused or is plain wrong. The student must explain what is wrong with the physics of the example and how to correct it. One example must include a quantitative analysis. Criteria.

  1. Physics Phalsehoods Each student must find 2 examples in the media where a physics idea has been misused or is plain wrong. The student must explain what is wrong with the physics of the example and how to correct it. One example must include a quantitative analysis. Kathy Cloud Period 2

  2. Criteria The misuse must pass a certain level of egregiousness. No example may be used twice in any class or among classes. The student must prepare a power point presentation, including detailed notes in the notes section. At least two slides are needed per example. All sources used or referenced must be cited in the notes section. Kathy Cloud Period 2

  3. 5. A copy of your power point with notes should be given to Mrs. Cloud after your class presentation. 6. All power point presentations must be made by the end of 3rd quarter. A 24 hour notice is needed for Mrs. Cloud to secure the projector. 7. 20 points will be awarded for the “physics phalsehood” examples and the description of the misuse. 25 points will be awarded for correcting the mistake and for numerical accuracy. 10 points will be awarded for properly citing all sources and/or references used.
