  2. Our film • Madeline is A gripping horror-esque Thriller featuring a woman with a Age-Related Macular Degeneration and a taste for revenge. • A woman with a growth disorder is driven to mental unstableness by constant neglect. After coming out of a mental institute she decides to seek revenge on the people that had effected her terribly and stuck in her mind. • The two main films that have influenced our idea are Orphan ( a horror) and Se7en (a Thriller).

  3. OTS • The OTS focus's on her mental instability and how she has be driven to be the way that she is. • The OTS is set in Madeline's house in two different time periods. The first on her 13th birthday in her parents house. The second in her lonely flat on her 30th birthday.  rooms are similar in both scenes. Mise-en-scene • location – flats as described above. • Costume – Smart dress, tightly fitted at the neck, yellow. Second scene – messed up make up ‘slutty’ clothing. • Props – birthday cake, party hats, birthday stuff, candle as light. • Figure expression – scene 1 she is crying into her hands. Scene 2 she is angry – smudged make up, spit etc. • Lighting – first scene very bright, happy colours  you sympathise with her as she is crying in happy environment. Scene 2 very dark – only lit by candles on cake.

Events of OTS • 1 – her sitting crying infront of birthday cake. • 2 – the same thing happening but when she is 30. • 3 - different angles of her smashing up the cake. • 4 – destroying all party stuff in slow motion with a lot of extreme close ups. – credits and names etc role over action. • 5.throws something at camera and camera goes black, this leads to a black screen with the title on and film starts. • Film introduces killer, hints the film is going to be one filled with anger and revenge.
