Applying Numbers • Click on format menu • Click on bullets and numbering menu item • Select numbered tab sheet • Select number style • Click on ok button • Also you can select the text and can apply numbers • To remove numbers select none • Also you can use numbering button in formatting tool bar

Changing Number Style • Click on format menu • Click on bullets and numbering menu item • Select numbered tab sheet • Select number style • Click on customize button • Select number style, number format and start at value • Select number position and align at value • Select text position values • Click on ok button

Applying Outline Numbers • Click on format menu • Click on bullets and numbering menu item • Select outline numbered tab sheet • Select outline number style • Click on ok button • Also you can select the text and can apply outline numbers • To remove numbers select none • Press tab key for level down • Press shift+tab for level up

Changing Outline Number Style • Click on format menu • Click on bullets and numbering menu item • Select outline numbered tab sheet • Select outline number style • Click on customize button • Select level to change • Select number style, number format and start at value • Select number position and align at value • Select text position values • Click on ok button

Applying Text Border • Select word or text • Click on format menu • Click on borders and shading menu item • Select borders tab sheet (default) • Select border setting, style, color, width • Select text into apply to • Click on ok button • You can also use border buttons in formatting tool bar

Applying Paragraph Border • Select paragraph • Click on format menu • Click on borders and shading menu item • Select borders tab sheet (default) • Select border setting, style, color, width • Select preview buttons for change top, right, bottom, left borders • Select paragraph into apply to (default) • Click on ok button • You can use options button to select space between in paragraph and border (top, right, bottom, left) • You can also use border buttons in formatting tool bar

  8. Applying Page Border • Select paragraph • Click on format menu • Click on borders and shading menu item • Select page border tab sheet • Select border setting, style, color, width and art • Select preview buttons for change top, right, bottom, left borders • Select option to apply to (whole document, this section, this section first page only, this section all except first page • Click on ok button • You can use options button to select space between in paragraph and border (top, right, bottom, left)

  9. Applying Shading • Select paragraph • Click on format menu • Click on borders and shading menu item • Select shading tab sheet • Select fill color • Select pattern and color • Select text or paragraph to apply to • Click on ok • You can also use highlight button in formatting tool bar

  10. Changing Ruler Measurements • Click on tools menu • Click on options menu item • Select general tab sheet • Select option for measurement unit

  11. Drop Cap • Select paragraph • Click on format menu • Click on drop cap menu item • Select dropped or in margin • Select font • Select lines to drop • Select distance from text • Click on ok

  12. Format Painter Tool • Select formatted text • Click on format painter tool in formatting tool bar • Select the text to format
