  1. The bright side of your home The easiest way to jazz up your space is to use pop colors. Swap those greys and blues for bright shades of tangerine, citrus, and pinks. Spread out your brightest tablecloths and colorful rugs to set the mood for long cosy sessions with friends. In the bedroom use happy bedcovers and cushions. FLOWER POWER Use colorful vases. Fill them up with fresh flowers. Our pick would be a traditional brass urli. Fill it up with water and fresh jasmine or orange marigold and floating candles, DIY: Use empty wine bottles as vases. SHEER ELEGANCE Get rid of heavy drapery and invest in sheer fabrics instead. Say no to velvets, jacquards and cotton which can soak up moisture and make your home musty. It also makes your living space darker. Invest in lace curtains that allow sunlight to stream in, keeping your space bright and airy. SOUNDS OF MUSIC To add a melodious note to your home, hang wind chimes by the window. Make it a fun project by getting your family together to make a chime from scratch. Wind chimes made of bamboos can be used in the balcony while those made of aluminium or other metal will be great near windows. SMELL CHECK Fragrant candles, diffusers are also a welcoming way to make your home smell enchanting. Place candles with some accent pieces on a stylish tray on your centre-table. OUT AND ABOUT If you want to enjoy the rain in the comfort of your home, redo your outdoor lounge space. Cover it with canopies and umbrellas to create a makeshift tea area, Leave a basket at your front door for umbrellas as a fun decor accent. LET THERE BE LOTS OF LIGHT Amp up those dark corners with some fancy ceiling lights or standing statement floor lamps. Gala adds proper lighting can make a lot of difference in the dull weather. Go for a bright lampshade. DO IT RIGHT

  2. Get airtight containers (preferably glass) for the kitchen to avoid food spoilage n Keep a separate shoe stand to house the wet shoes. Expensive carpets can be rolled up and put away. Use bright durries. If you have a collection of paintings, get a dehumidifier. If you have minimal colour at home, add a pop with a statement chair or cushions.   
