The Rotary Foundation (TRF) TRF is a part of Rotary International (RI) RI gets its money from membership fees from clubs TRF gets money only via donations (exception: in district 1420, 7€ per member goes to TRF as PolioPlus donation and 2€ per member goes to RDBF, Rotary Doctor Bank Finland. Abt. 30 doctors to Tansania yearly.)

  3. The Rotary Foundation High quality charity organization, continually; only 5% costs (see ”Charity Navigator”) [Red Cross etc: over 15%] Capital: over 1000 M$ (”only”!) Mission: to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty

  4. Main TRF funds Annual fund Share system: World fund, District fund Endowment fund (permanent fund) PolioPlus fund

  5. Global GrantsAreas of focus Peace and conflict prevention / resolution Disease prevention and treatment Water supply and sanitation Maternal and child health Basic education and literacy Economic and community development

Basics Minimum $15 000, $30 000 total budget Respond to a need identified Active participation of club and target Sustainable: target must be able to continue after the project has ended funding Measurable: monitoring and evaluating Two primary clubs: one local and one in target Both must be qualified (MOU) Some expensies allowed Comply with with TRF code of policies

Memorandum of understanding (MOU) Club is officially registered Club has donated at least once per 3 years to TRF At least one member every year in seminars A named club member for the district contacts Economy is solid Dedicated bank accounts Good reporting and documentation Yearly signed contract with the district

Restrictions, not allowed: Discrimination against any group or any sex Promotion of political or religious viewpoint Weapons or ammunition Support youth exchange, Rotaract or Interact Purchase of properties or constructing of buildings Financial support of another organization Activities devoted to other organizations More minor things: see info from TRF.
