  1. They appeared in Great Britain and the USA and extended in Western Europe enough quickly.

  2. It is known, that in days of Stalin period in the USSR there were rudiments of subcultures – for example domestic (home) culture of post-war years.

  3. It is interesting that the most sensational youth subcultural movements as hippies or punks operated in the different countries including the USSR, practically testifying to a universal message of their ideas.

  4. Some young persons show interests to subcultures and find among them close friends

  5. The good old times for most of our hippies were the 1970s. Their ideals include love, peace, freedom of self –expression and nonconformity to society’s rules.

Subculture appeared in the middle of 90-s' years in Russia. • The members of this subculture wear the blackest black with a lot of silver jeweler and have very black hair and look as thin and pale as possible. The members gather to read Bram Stoker and talk about being vampires and about the end of the world.

  7. These are the folks who use computer-made, synthesized music, and drugs to create massive all-night dance parties in empty warehouses. They like to be in a collective. They want to try out all sort of options and are thought to be violent.

  8. Mod - the British youth subculture formed in the late fifties. These people developed their own style distinct from others. A person has college-style hair, a neat white shirt, s short jacket and narrow trousers.

  9. The first skinheads appeared in the autumn of 68th in England. The majority of them were working class, patriotic, reggae and football fanatics and very uninterested in politics. Most of them wear tight trousers and heavy boots and they are usually regarded as violent and aggressive.

  11. Emo is a state of mind, but they have a special style to be allocated among other subcultures. The clothes emo are clothes in black-pink scale, various bandages on hands, belts with iron plaques, a backpack with various badges emo. Hairdresses emo are the bang covers one eye, a black or dark-chestnut hair color. Packing or its absence, all it gives freedom in an individuality choice.
