  • Meets (competition) run for six-seven weeks

  • Afternoon practice every weekday (except Wednesday nights*)

  • Registration: Friday, May 2, 5-7:30 PM.

Practice schedule

Practice schedule:

  • Practices start on Tuesday, May 27 and continue through the week of the last meet.

    Monday through Friday:

  • 4:45 to 5:15 - Pre-team (6 and unders)

  • 5:15 to 6:15 - 7 to 9 year olds

  • 6:15 to 7:15 - 10 to 18 year olds

  • Starting week of June 9, no Wednesday evening practice due to A or B meets; morning practices (to be determined)

What s our pre team

What’s our pre-team?

  • Swimmers who have basic swimming skills.

  • Includes 6 years old or under (may include 7 to 8 years old swimmers needing extra work).

  • Usually between 4-6 years old (*).

  • Practice 30 minutes per day, in a group “swimming lesson” environment.

  • “Compete” in kickboard “races” on Wednesday nights (B meets).

  • May swim other strokes on Wednesday nights (if legal) or Saturday mornings if needed.

Swim meets

Swim meets:

  • “A” meets are Saturday morning meets (except for Wednesday, 6/11). Include dual meets (vs. one other team), Relay Carnival (on 6/29), and Divisionals (7/19).

  • “B” meets are for swimmers to swim what they didn’t swim during the previous Saturday “A” meet.

  • Swimmers may bump themselves into an “A” meet by their “B” meet times.

  • Divisionals are the “O” division “playoffs”. The top two swimmers for each event/age group compete in this meet.

Spirit

Spirit:

  • Looking for a Spirit chair.

  • Friday night dinners

  • Friday night activities/pep rallies

  • Swim Meet Themes

  • Coaches hand out ribbons 1-2 times per week (on Mondays—following Saturday and previous Wednesday meets) during post-practice team meetings. Swimmers will receive their ribbons by receiving “mail” (ribbons in envelopes) from coaches.

  • Coaches will recognize swimmers who get DQ’d by purposely working with them during practice the following week.

  • End of the year banquet (July 28th at pool)
