  1. “Bodegas Piqueras” was founded in 1915. At that time the produce • of a small cellar was aimed at the local market, with no other • expectations that those of selling some hectolitres of wine per year. • In the 50’s, the cellar went through a series of enlargements to suit the • increasing market of red wines sold in bulk to different areas of Spain. • The first bottled wine came out in 1961 and when the controlled area • of production “Almansa” started to work , 100 barrels containing 300 • litres were purchased, which were the first ones used in that area. • From then on, our way of working changes completely focusing our • efforts in increasing our production of bottled wine. • We began to export wine in 1987 which results in a tremendous • change for our cellar. In a few years, several worldwide markets are • opened to us. Nowadays, our production reaches 15 countries and that • means 80% of our bottled wine.

CASTILLO DE ALMANSA RESERVA'06 • Grape Variety: Selected Tempranillo, Monastrell and Garnacha Tintorera grapes, • Maturation & Aging: Matured in American oak casks for 12 months and 10 months in bottle. • Color: Wonderful dark cherry red colour, • Nose: Intense, blackberry, spice and toasted aromas, • Palate: Full bodied, concentrated, rich wild berry fruit on the palate with finely balanced vanilla undertones, and well integrated tannins, great depth with a persistent finish. CASTILLO D ALMANSA SELECCION '05 • Description: A red wine of great distinction made from hand-picked, selected, low yielding Tempranillo, Monastrell, Garnacha Tintorera and Syrah. • Maturation & Aging: Maceration during 20 days at 26ºC. Aged 12 months in 50% French Allier and 50% American oak and 18 months in bottle. • Color & Nose: Dark ruby red with complex bouquet of prunes, plums, roasted red pepper and toasted notes. • Taste: Magnificent palate with plenty of rich concentrated plums, damsons, smooth and full with firm tannins, full persistence in the finish. • Alcohol: 14% • Awards: 2 GOLD MEDALS “Gran Selección Trophy” • Wholesale: S$38.00 • Retail: S$44.00

  4. VALCANTO SYRAH '08 • Grape Variety: 100% Syrah • Maturation & Aging: Aged 4 months in American oak barrels. Maceration took place for 7 days at 25º.C, and malolactic fermentation in 500 litre oak barrels. • Color: Deep, intense red colour with purple tinges. • Bouquet: Sensational ripe red fruit nose beautifully blended with spices and a toastiness from the oak. • Taste: On the palate it is elegant, full, very smooth and rounded with rich plum and blackberry fruit and firm tannins.
