Commands with DOPs. Affirmative Commands with DOPs. With positive commands, the DOP will be attached directly to the end of the verb in its command form. In order to retain the original stress on the command, you will need to add an accent mark once the DOP is added COUNT BACK 3 VOWELS!

Affirmative Commands with DOPs • With positive commands, the DOP will be attached directly to the end of the verb in its command form. • In order to retain the original stress on the command, you will need to add an accent mark once the DOP is added • COUNT BACK 3 VOWELS! • Example: Bring it here! • ¡Tráelo aquí! • Note: This may not work in all situations!!!

  3. Negative Commands with DOPs • With negative commands, the DOP will go in front of the command. It is not attached to the verb. • Example: Don’t do it! • ¡No lo hagas!
