  3. TERMINAL OPERATIONSYARDPLANNING • INBOUND (IMPORT) • Rough planning (stack/zone size) • Specific only for relative large similar quantities: T/S: Ports of destination LCL (CFS) containers Same mode of ontransport • Otherwise: at random • Limited stackingheight to avoid shifting

  4. TERMINAL OPERATIONSYARDPLANNING • OUTBOUND (EXPORT) • Port of Destination • Size (20’- 40’etc.) • Weight class (MT - 10t - 18t -25t - >25t.) • Specials (IMDG - Reefers - Oversize)

  5. TERMINAL OPERATIONSYARDPLANNING • YARD/SHIPPLANNING EXPORT • Criteria Shipplanning: Ship’s requirements (Stability, list etc.) Terminal requirements : stacking • Sequential order of loading based on stacking of the containers on the terminal in order to avoid shifting.
