  2. Objective • To prepare Land Use Classification Map for a given area. • To compute area of each feature individually.

  3. Definition • Land use Classification :Land use is characterized by the arrangements, activities and inputs people undertake in a certain land cover type to produce, change or maintain it.

  4. Methodology • Selection of given area on Google Earth • Taking Google image selected area • Importing image to Arc GIS software • Creating pyramids • Applying Projection system to image • Geo referencing with use of Bing Maps • Making Shape files of different features (e.g roads) • Creating personal geo database • Calculating area of each feature class
