  2. Admission process • 1.Download the full application (12 pages), (print, complete, and submit by fax, mail or in person). • 2.Pick up a hard copy from an Open House or the DCIS Main Office (complete, and submit by fax, mail, or in person).

  3. Location / Transportation • DCIS is located at 574 w. 6th Ave Denver Co. 80204 • A DPS school bus will pick up any 6th-8th grader that lives at least 2.5 miles from DCIS and resides in the City and County of Denver. • High school students that live within Denver’s city limits, and at least 3.5 miles from DCIS and within the City and County of Denver, qualify for a RTD pass that will be purchased for them. If there is a DPS bus that picks up a 6th-8th grader near a high schooler’s house, the high schooler can apply to the DPS Transportation Department to ride the school bus, if there is available space.

  9. Additional Information • DCIS receives many exchange students from all over the world. • There are opportunities to host exchange students.

  10. Travel Opportunities • AYLP programs are available for American high school students and educators to travel abroad on a three- to four-week-long exchange program to gain first-hand knowledge of foreign cultures and to collaborate on solving global issues. Several different organizations implement this program, and each has organized an academic and experiential educational exchange focused on dialogue and debate, leadership development, and community service. Programs are offered in countries such as Japan and China. Scholarships available.
