Wednesday, September 25 • Objective: I will deepen my understanding of the setting of The Glass Menagerie by reading scene 2 and analyzing sample soundtracks from various productions of the play. • Standards: RL.9-10.3, RL.9-10.10, L.9-10.4a, L.9-10.5a • Journal: In a few sentences, summarize the first scene. Who are the characters so far ? What happened?

Unit 2 Summative Assessments • Summative Assessment #1: Unit Exam • Vocabulary (Matching) • Short answers (based on chapter questions) • Short essay (1 page based on characters and symbolism) • October 11 (Block 5) and October 14 (Block 2, 4, 8) • Summative Assessment #2: Characterization Project • Character study through a different medium: poetry, collage, music, video, etc. • Menagerie Showcase: October 17 (Block 5) and October 18 (Block 2, 4, 8)
