  3. Geography • Food miles-visit a supermarket, where does our food come from?—link to world maps • Trade/Fair trade. Coffee/Tea/Chocolate • Location of settlement/landscapes-build up on their own farm. • Drought/Flooding/Insects/War: Things can affect farming worldwide-look at other countries

  4. Literacy • Instructional writing- growing instructions, seed packaging. Create own instructions-link to ICT-use iPad apps like strip designer. • Storytelling- Use farm based books (Mudpuddle Farm: Michael Morpurgo), tell their own stories, write their own stories. Puppets, farm models-build their own farm, use it a prop to tell a story. • Day in life of a farm hand, a farmer, a dairy farmer, farm animal (personification).
