  4. Topical Anesthesia • Veryrapidonset; last about 15 minutes: • Proparacaine 0.5% (Ophthaine) • Tetracaine 0.5% (Pontocaine) • Avoid long-acting agents because of risk of furtherinjury/ulceration • Do not prescribeany for home use
