  2. In the beginning • Any member of the University of Northern Colorado can recognize • Attend programs, be on the lookout for positive contributions and recognize! • Log onto otms.nrhh.org to submit an OTM • There are 14 categories that are up for recognition

The categories • Student • First Year Student • Faculty/Staff (not a housing employee) • Advisor • Community • Organization • Spotlight (miscellaneous group/person) • Executive Board Member • Resident Assistant • Community Service Program • Educational Program • Diversity Program • Passive Program • Social Program Group/person Program * For descriptions of every category please visit www.unco.edu/rha and look at the OTM page

  4. The website *Note the two different OTM submission forms Create your own account for OTM submissions and keep track of all your recognition

  5. Let’s say you want to write an OTM for community of the month

  6. Consider the listed critical questions while writing your OTM *Critical Questions can be found online at www.unco.edu/rha on the OTM page.

  7. You then submit that OTM to the campus level Other halls think that their community should be community of the month on your campus OTMs are then voted on by campus judges. To become an OTM judge contact your campus OTM coordinator

  9. At the IACURH Regional Level Schools from the IACURH region submit their best OTMs for judging every month too OTMs are then voted on by regional judges made up of people from many different schools

  10. At the National Level Regional Winners then contend against 7 other regions to be the national OTM winner OTMs are then voted on by national judges made up, again, of people from schools all across the nation.

  12. The full scale of OTM travel When you write a “Person” OTM a progressive door dec is made for your nominee for campus, regional and national winners!

  13. Important Dates • Due to the UNC campus level the 8th of every month • Submitted by you! • Due to the regional level the 10th of every month • Forwarded to the regional level by the campus OTM coordinator • Due to the national level the 17th of every month • Forwarded to the national level by the regional AD-NRHH • National Winners per NACURH policy should be posted by the first of every month by the National Associate for NRHH (NAN)
