Committee Charge/Function • Advisory to the provost in any faculty personnel matters, especially: • appointments, reappointments, and promotions that have the effect of conferring permanent tenure; • promotions to a higher rank of persons holding permanent tenure at the rank of associate professor or assistant professor; • appointments to distinguished professorships that are not restricted by the terms of the endowment to a particular school or department. • Review of school and departmental statements of criteria for appointment, promotion, and tenure.

  4. Outcomes of Monthly Meetings in 2011 *Two were approved in July and one was approved in August.
