2. Overview This report will cover three areas of Bahay Dalangin from 2007-2009 • Sangha Life: Membership, organization and places for meditation • Dharma Transmission: Training and training materials • Buddha Nature: Personalization and Social Engagement

4. Sangha Life Membership, Organization and Places for Meditation

5. Sangha Life • Zazen were held regularly and consistently at three different zendos • Zazenkai were held consistently every month • Sesshin were held consistently every quarter • Attendance to all have been consistent

6. Sangha Life • Small group fellowships and activities were created to support members on their daily sit (i.e. Agahan, etc.) • Beh loop continues to support members on their daily sit • Email exchanges support members’ practice

7. Sangha Life • Officers were re-organized to perform four key functions: organization, finance/logistics, education and special projects • New jikis were trained. Each zendo was assigned a jiki, an assistant jiki, and an apprentice • Jikis cross-trained in the different zendos • Members identified their home zendo for better information dissemination

8. Sangha Life • Regular samu periods were conducted at each zendo • Each zendo was provided with complete materials for zazen • A sangha directory was prepared for jiki reference • A product line for the sangha store was created

Sangha Life • Collection of pledges was strengthened • Financial statements were put in order • Some outstanding loans were collected • Sta Ana zendo was repaired and refurbished • New places for zazen were provided: Pahingalay Zendo and Nat Han Zendo • At least 12 orientees took their shoken or became sangha members

Dharma Transmission • An assistant teacher was confirmed • Teachers participated in two international teachers’ meetings (kenshukai) • Members assisted at Kenshukai in Tagaytay • Jiki orientation manual was accomplished and used as standard • Orientations were conducted by jikis at three zendos

12. Dharma Transmission • Samu directives were written • Meal (Oryoki) directives were written • Bahay Dalangin primer was completed (but not yet printed) • Translation of Miscellaneous Koans to Tagalog was completed (but not yet printed) • Tagalog prayers are now said in all three zendo

14. Buddha Nature • Lita was healed and recuperated at Nat Han Zendo • Two medical missions were conducted at Pahingalay Zendo, Romblon • Support and sit for farmers on strike at DENR • Support and sit for farmers on strike at DAR

15. Buddha Nature • Relief operations for victims of Typhoon Ondoy at Nat Han Zendo • Relief operations for victims of Typhoon Ondoy thru ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya • Rehabilitation and Stress De-briefing for Typhoon Ondoy victims at Bagong Silangan • Support and donations for Mandaluyong in-mates

16. Buddha Nature • Conducted orientations for meditators of Lightworkers in Sucat and Leveriza • Body Talk workshop
