  1. Strategic focus on strong partners; Siemens, Ericsson, Sogeti, IBM, T-Systems, FältCom, STT System, Nokia, ICA,. ISV Independent Software Vendor focused on solutions for the mobile workforce.

  2. “Handling the life cycle of a work order” Call center Planner/Dispatcher Customer Mobile Personnel Using efficient real-time tools for cooperation, planning, scheduling and reporting.

  3. Benefits for the customer • Reduced costs • Eliminate paper work • Efficient task management • Reduce mileage • Make optimal use of subcontractor • Increased revenue • Service more customers weekly • More work tasks/individual • Additional sales • Start billing earlier Increased customer loyalty • Get the job done on time, every time • Customers always informed • Standardized work processes • Efficient work methods • Higher Quality • Enhanced on-site decision making • More qualified work assignments • Shortened lead times • Reduce outage/emergency dispatch times • Eliminate penalty cost for not meeting service level agreements

  4. Product The (Blå Coordinator) solution increases field force productivity and service delivery levels through real time wireless communications associated with powerful and scalable mobile workforce (job allocation, scheduling and optimization) capabilities. IBM, gasNatural Press Release 2005.

  5. Benefits Obtained by Gas Natural • Improved productivity of all the field operations personnel (with impact in cost reduction). • Improved user satisfaction. • Improved quality and quantity of information. • Mobility Solution standarization. • Clear ROI based on a “business case” with tangibles business benefits. • More efficient use of subcontractors

  6. IBM & isMobile Case study Gas Natural (utility) • First phase of project with IBM/isMobile consists of 2 000 users • An average of 10 000 W.O. /day are handled thru the solution. • Each Engineer doing on 5-8 tasks per day • Mix of Emergency calls/break fix, short term scheduling requirements • Emergency calls are registered in Siebel • Preventive maintenance work orders are created in SAP PM. • Emergency & Preventive work orders are sent to Blå Coordinator for Scheduling, dispatching, execution and reporting. • More than hundred types of different paper reports were used before starting to use Blå Coordinator. After the introduction of Blå Coordinator all these report types are handled electronically in a PDA.

  7. isMobile Case study - Essent • Leading utility company in The Netherlands • Mix of Emergency calls/break fix, short term scheduling requirements and inspection service and meter reading • Selected Blå Coordinator as their MWF system based on RFQ result in competition with other leading vendors • High flexibility, adaptive mobile forms, advanced scheduling and easy change management important criteria's • Using SAP as ERP system

  8. Product The (Blå Coordinator) solution increases field force productivity and service delivery levels through real time wireless communications associated with powerful and scalable mobile workforce (job allocation, scheduling and optimization) capabilities. IBM, gasNatural Press Release 2005.

  9. Product perspective Service Process

  10. PR SE D/S B TG SR PP Service Process Blå Coordinator Family • Plan & Schedule & Dispatch • Long term resource planning • Automatic scheduling & dispatching • Interactive optimization support • Real-time notification and tracking of work progress • Advanced Optimizer • Proven heuristics • Powerful support to support unique business rules. • Flexible cost models • Mobile Solution • Powerful reporting/Data capture with validation • Mobile Dispatching & Push notifications • Combined on/offline • Studio • Graphical development tool for Work flow and Report • Administration of Calendar, Optimisation, etc • Integration Adapter • XML – based • Configurable Message based integration withSAP/Siebel/etc

  11. Product features Mobile execution & reporting • Flexible information and reporting capabilities • Push notification of important assignments (SMS or GPRS) • On/off-line support • Flexible synchronization configuration • Advanced filtering capabilities • Intergration with terminal specific equipment. • GPS,RFID, Barcode, Printer .... • Integration with adtional software on terminal • GIS, Navigator, Drawing, ....

  12. isMobile Optimization Engine The optimisation engine runs in two phases: 1. Route ConstructionIn order to get feasible solutions fast, the engine makes use of a Multi-start local search framework.Several initial solutions are generated by a fast construction algorithm based on heuristics, where also the number of routes are minimized. 2. Solution Improvement MethodsThe best solution is further refined by applying improvement heuristics. The objective for the optimization is to minimize cost considering a number of constraints. Examples are: • Cost parameters • Travel cost. Total distance for all routes. • Resource cost. Each resource has individually specified speed and cost for engagement. • Preferred resource. You may define the cost for specific combinations of work orders and resources. • Work order priority. You may define the cost for a work order not being performed. • Constraints: • Time window constraints. Earliest & latest time and duration for work orders. Cooperating work orders, i.e. two work orders should overlap. • Resource availability constraints. Unique calendar for each resource: working time, breaks at specific geographical position, over-time. • Compatibility constraints. Rules that tell which work orders may be performed by which resources, e.g. skills, spare parts, etc. • Distance constraints. shortest distance (geodetic) or real-time drive times estimates from external system (e.g. queue, time-of-day).

  13. Blå Pocket /Dashboard View information • Agenda(today, this week, etc.) • Order information like contract, address, quantity, etc. • Messages Report/Data capture • Real-time status update (accept, on-site, leaving site, closed, etc.) • Create reports (activity, time, material, other customized reports) • Use Scanner, RFID to input information in reports (Requires customization depeding on terminal) Print workorder/report

  14. RFID Example: Report on Coffe Machine Service and Printer Unique Report forms per Service Object. Launched automatically!

  15. Work Orders for the Technician Work orders in ”Pool” Can be picked by the technician Assigned Work orders

  16. Flexible Report ViewPocket Version

  17. Flexible Report ViewTablet/Laptop Version

  18. Example of Integration with GPS and Navigation (Tom Tom, Wisepilot,..)

• GIS, Ritverktyg, Navigering, ??
