Regulatory Summary – North America • US • FCC 5 GHz rules changes update – industry input for NPRM • OMB approved spending for Part 15 Subpart H • Establishment of database(s) only remaining hurdle • Forty-five day geo-location database trial begun September 19th • US House of Representatives looking to auction ALL spectrum • Canada • TVWS Consultation: 802.18 prepared a response (18-11/75r3) • SMSE-012-11 Consultation on a Policy and Technical Framework for the Use of Non-Broadcasting Applications in the Television Broadcasting Bands Below 698 MHz • Radio Advisory Board of Canada (RABC) meetings to discuss TVWS Rich Kennedy, Research In Motion
