OSPF routers in one area to find correlations between routable IP addresses and capabilities of OSPF routers in another area • http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-xu-ospf-mpls-elc-00 • For identifying the ELC TLV originating node IP address in another area [useful when EL (RFC 6790) Signaling is done through OSPF] • http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-bhatia-ospf-sbfd-discriminator-00 • For identifying the S-BFD Discriminator TLV originating node IP address in another area 2

Through new TLV (S) in OSPF (OSPFv2, OSPFv3) RI Opaque LSA [RFC 4970] • Routable IPv4 Address TLV • One or more routable addresses can be carried over in RI LSA • TYPE (TBD), Length (Variable, Multiple of 4) • Applicable to OSPFv2 • Scope: Depends on application - SHOULD be AS wide • Routable IPv6 Address TLV • One or more routable global addresses can be carried over in RI LSA • TYPE (TBD), Length (Variable, Multiple of 16) • Applicable to OSPFv3 • Scope: Depends on application -SHOULD be AS wide 3
