  1. Hemp Tea | Everything You Need To Know Calm, relaxing and soothing whilst also providing you with that much-needed dose of CBD to help you through your day. Hemp tea is a herbal infusion of cannabidiol-rich hemp flower with an array of different flavours to tempt anybody. It’s becoming increasingly popular to replace that morning drink to help kickstart your day with a hemp tea or even at night to help you drift off into that relaxing sleep.

  2. What Is Hemp Tea? Hemp tea is the infusion of hemp buds, seeds or leaves (and potentially a number of other aromatic plants) that have been heated or steeped in water. This process causes components of the plant material to be absorbed into the hot water which can subsequently be consumed.

  3. What Parts Of The Hemp Plant Are Used? This will generally depend on the manufacturer. However, generally very little of the hemp plant is allowed to go to waste when making hemp tea. Traditionally, it is the buds, seeds, leaves and stems that are all dried and used in CBD hemp tea but some manufacturers may just use the buds and leaves. It is the buds that contain the highest concentration of cannabinoids compared to anywhere else in the plant which makes them an essential part of CBD hemp tea.

  4. Is There CBD In Hemp Tea? Cannabidiol (CBD) belongs to a group of compounds called cannabinoids which are found exclusively in the cannabis plant. Hemp is another name for cannabis that contains minimal amounts of THC and is therefore non-intoxicating when consumed. CBD is most prevalent in the trichomes of the resin glands of a female hemp plant, so if you hemp tea contains hemp buds (commonly referred to as hemp flowers), then your hemp tea will contain CBD.

  5. Hemp Tea Benefits Hemp tea is well perceived to have an array of health benefits. It is not only packed full of cannabidiol and other cannabinoids, it also contains vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants and fatty acids. A great number of studies have been conducted into all of the individual components that comprise CBD hemp tea which conclude that there are health benefits. The human body contains an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that is as essential for human survival as your respiratory or circulatory systems. The ECS plays a major role in the body to help regulate sleep, memory, appetite among an array of other functions. The body produces its own cannabinoids that act as chemical messengers acting upon the bodies cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2.

  6. Hemp Tea And The Endocannabinoid System The human body has an endocannabinoid system that has two main receptors, CB1 and CB2, both of which are present throughout the cells of our tissues, organs and nervous system. These cannabinoid receptors can be stimulated, either by the body’s own natural cannabinoids, such as anandamide and 2-AG, or by ingesting cannabinoids from external sources, such as those found in hemp like CBD.
