  4. Materials • Pre-reading (guided by questions) • Journal article • National constitutions (3 texts) • Case law • Web material (International Bar Association, UN Rapporteur on JI) • Chapter in textbook (Perhaps a bit much??)

  5. Teaching method • Pre-reading with guiding questions • In class – discuss reading wrt questions (interactive) • Pose problem scenario (in class) – exploration • Highlight factors hindering/impacting on JI • 5 line essay giving example of where JI undermined/threatened (at end of lectures)

  6. Assessment task • Test – aimed at gauging knowledge and understanding (problem question) • Essay – aimed at development of critical analytical skills • Scenario or theory level?
