  2. The Company • Genesis Seeds Ltd. is an organic producer of high-quality flower, herb and vegetable seeds. Genesis Seeds offers a broad range of varieties of hybrid seeds, proprietary open pollinated seeds, and many heritage (heirloom) varieties as well as wild flowers and herbs.

  3. Senior Management Isaac Nir, President Dr. Nir has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of the horticulture industry. These include: Seed Production, Plant Propagation, Cut flower production, Research, Agricultural marketing and Market evaluation. Graduate and PhD of the Faculty of Agricultural of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Manny Shemin, Director Marketing Mr. Emanuel Shemin recently passed away. His career in horticulture spaned over 45 years. The founder of Shemin Nurseries (1955), Mr. Shemin pioneered Horticultural Distribution, the first one-stop wholesale distribution in the horticulture industry. Mr. Shemin has been actively connected with the State of Israel since 1976, focusing mainly on horticulture. Shai Nir, General Manager Joined the company in 1996 after a complementary study in Holland and Germany on all aspects of seed production and processing. Shai is a world expert in seed production, processing, post harvest, quality control, storage conditions, shipment and international standards for the seed trade.

  4. Research Genesis Seeds has a fast-track organic breeding program to develop F-1 hybrid and selected certified organic vegetable, flower and herb seed to complete its own export program and meet specific needs of its customers.

Main R&D Projects • Introduction of flowers, vegetables, herbs and medicinal plants. • Selection and breeding of Vegetables, flowers, and herbs. • Proprietary seed production for key customers. • Production of limited quantities of commercial seed. • New production techniques, especially to conserve water. • The use of organic and biodynamic pesticides. • Stock seed production. • Purity testing of each production lot.

  6. In addition to in-house research, Genesis Seeds also conducts close R&D cooperation with: • ARO – Agricultural Research Organization of the Israel Ministry of Agriculture. • VBI - Cornell Vegetable Breeding Institute, Cornell University, Ithaca NY. • HUJI - Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture Food and Environmental Quality Sciences.
