  1. The Prison’s Keeper Book I By Kaylan Buyukcetin

  2. One day, in the cold hard floors of a prison in Libya, my friend Harris was sitting in a jail cell. Obviously, it was hard for him. He was charged for a crime he didn’t commit. I have never admitted this until “the incident” but I was indeed the one that had committed that crime… the murder of Farra, a well-respected mayor by everyone except me. In fact, I hated Farra. But, if I had told anybody about this, I’d probably be burned at the stake and beheaded. So I pinned his death on Harris… But that was the past. Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is David. David Fenti.

  3. First, it began with a phone call from a Mr. Gramicidin. He had called me a liar and a cheater. He accused me correctly of killing off Farra. I defended myself, asking him why I would do that. But a few seconds later, there were cops at my door. A few seconds after that, I was being whisked away to Blue Diamond Jail, where I thought I would rot for the rest of my life. But, when I got there, there were already plans to bust me out. Turns out, all the prisoners hated Farra as much as I do. I needed to make a choice. Should I go ahead and comply, or tell a chief about it? • Tell The Chief • Escape the Jail

  4. I decided to tell a guard. I tell him all I know about the upcoming breakout. On the day that the inmates decide to go for it, a guard stops them in their tracks. The last I see of them is the officer whisking them away to court, for an extension of their jail time. I, on the other hand, was told that I was free to go! I left the prison with a smug smile on my face, knowing that I had made a good decision.

  6. I chose to escape. But, the second I stepped out, I was whisked away… to what I thought would be another jail, which really bugged me. But, as it turns out, I got DUMPED to the middle of the SAHARA with NO INMATES! This was stupid, cause I had did nothing wrong. I simply decided to leave the prison and say I was innocent, and I was doing those guards a favor, and if I had stayed any longer I would surely go insane. This is the thanks I get? Me, rotting in the Sahara forever? Well, I was crying when the guard left. I was begging for mercy and I PLEADED for appeal, but the guard shrugged me off. I faced reality… and it sucked.

  7. Minutes later, a Jeep, just like the one that took me to this spot, came. When it stopped, there were 3 prisoners out of there! Apparently, these 3 inmates helped during the breakout, and one of these guys went with me, and escaped. But, these prisoners weren’t friendly at all. They left me stranded, in fact. I was their enemy, because they thought the breakout was my idea. Plus, they learned who Farra was, and they worshiped her. So, my hopes were quickly crushed. They left me on the sand, lying in pain, as one of them gave me a low kick to the groin seconds before. I thought I was doomed, when I realized I had a coat on! I took it off and realized it had pockets. I checked my right pocket, and it had something in it. But, so did the left pocket. I had to choose one. Which one? • Left • Right

  8. I chose right, and sure enough, it was a SNAKE. A venomous, harmful, deadly viper that one of the inmates put in my pocket. I knew I needed to take off the coat, so I did. But, I would never, ever know what was in the right pocket. That is when I noticed the extreme desert. It was scorching hot, and the blazing sun that seemed to be wherever I looked didn’t help. There was sand and rocks everywhere, which meant I had to watch my step. Worst of all, there was no oasis in sight, which meant my only source of water was… the urine of lizards and any other animals stupid enough to live in the Sahara. While I was thinking of that… the snake came back and bit me in the leg. My vision was blurry, and slowly faded to black… I could not feel a thing, except me slowly fading out from this world… my soul was empty… and I… was going… down… into… emptiness…..

  10. I chose the left pocket, and there was a map of the Sahara! Right there, rolled up in my pocket! I had kept the map in my pocket for decades, as a good luck charm. I never knew I would have to use it… until now. I looked at the map. I knew I was in Libya. I had to hike to a neighboring country that was NOT a part of the Sahara. I needed to start hiking, but there was an oasis not far from there. What should I do? • Start Hiking • Go to the Oasis

  11. I decided to go to the oasis, because I was so thirsty. I felt like a dry bone left in the desert. But, once I got a drink of water, I felt so alive and fresh! I was now feeling like someone who had been cut off from water for years. That’s who I am. But, I did not think about that as I was enjoying myself with the water that would last me a lifetime! I drank the entire oasis, which was really stupid of me, as I would later find out. But I felt so amazing, I did not think about that.

  12. I began to walk. It was a hard experience, because I did not have much stamina. I also got cramps and started vomiting along the way. I’m certain it was the water, but I was enjoying it so much to notice. It was too painful to continue, but I needed to if I wanted to get home. However, I wanted to rest for the night, considering my condition at the moment. But, maybe not. You see, at nighttime on a full moon, I turn into a werewolf. Yes, a werewolf. The sky was turning orange, and it looked like the moon would be full tonight. There was one advantage to this. I would not be inflicted with any pain at all, as werewolves do not have the same pains as humans do. This meant that I had 8 hours to make it to the Libya border, as fast as possible, before I would turn back into a human. So, should I rest, or head for the border? • Stay and rest • Go to the border

  13. I decided I was too tired and I needed to rest, big time. So, I sat down on a log… and there was a thorn on it! I was screaming in pain, so I did not notice a Black Widow crawling up my leg and biting me in the leg! I screamed twice as loud, and was blacking out… my hearing was getting softer… the pain was slowly fading… I was leaving this world… slowly… going down…

  14. The End • Start Over • Go to Split

  15. I morphed as the last sunlight faded, and set off for the border! I was at the border within a few hours, and asked a lady if I can enter. She refused my entry, and a couple of dead-beat cops came and arrested me. I was given the death penalty by a judge, and I am now on death row. This is the end of me, and I think you know that. So, I spent the last few minutes saying goodbye to a tiny bug, and I was off to the electric chair…

  16. The End • Start Over • Go to Split

  17. I set off for the border, not being tired, and ran. It took me 4 hours, but I made it to the border! There was security everywhere, so I had to sneak through. There were two tunnels. One, had daylight at the end, the other hit a corner. Which one should I take? • Corner Tunnel • Daylight Tunnel

  18. I went in the tunnel with the corner. I rounded the corner, and saw daylight! I ran away. It was time to do the thing I have been waiting to do for years: do stuff! I wanted to start a new life, but first, I needed to reach the airport! There was a market place a couple miles away… maybe I should go there. There was also a lady with directions. Maybe I could ask her where the airport is! • Ask the lady • Go to marketplace

  19. I chose the tunnel with a light at the end. I went down it, and saw a light bulb and a police officer! I ran, but he pressed a switch, and my way out was blocked. He told me that I would rot here for the rest of my life, and left. I couldn’t believe it! So, I did just that, and stayed there the rest of my life. It wouldn’t be long, because he opened a crate with a bunch of black widows… so I decided to find a crack in the ceiling so I could cut through with my knife, which I had kept for these tunnel situations! I took the knife out…

  20. … and wondered what I should do with it. I needed to get out of the tunnel, and fast. I could take the knife and cut a hole through the ceiling, but I would need to climb up a wall. I could also take the knife and cut it through the wall, although the chances of that leading to success was low. Finally, I could fight off the black widows first, before I think about my plan. I had to hurry. The spiders were gaining… • Cut through ceiling • Cut through wall • Fight off spiders

  21. I climbed up a wall, and proceeded to cut. It was hard to hang on, though. I finished the cut, and then I realized I wouldn’t be able to get up there normally. So, I took my knife, planted it on the ground above, and… I fell to the hands of 54 black widows… I was slowly dying, and I was disappointed in myself. I made it this far… only to die…

  22. The End • Start Over • Go to Split

  23. I decided to fight the spiders. I stomped on them countless times. But, the kept coming. I was struggling to keep them dead. Soon, my right leg was bleeding with the wounds of a fatal black widow bite. I was losing strength, and I couldn’t feel a thing after a while. I was going black, and my last thought was, “Why didn’t I just act?” My last breath was taken, and I was lifeless after 2 minutes… • Start Afterlife • End this right now

  24. The End • Start Over • Go to Split

  25. I decided to cheat death, and cut through the wall. I got my knife, and cut a door shape about my size. It actually worked! I saw daylight at the end, and I knew it! I went outside, feeling thankful that I had chose that, even though it was risky. Now, I had to figure out where to go, considering I was free at last. Where now? There was a marketplace nearby, where I could get fresh meat. I was going there first.

  26. I arrived at the marketplace, and bought some food and drink. After that, I went to a motel and stayed there for a bit, eating a ton of food. I was relieved to be in civilization again! I didn’t think I would go back home to California anytime soon, but I did know that I would be living with some sort of life. I went and looked around the village. I found a nice woman who was from Maine, on a trip to Africa. Her name was Mary, and she wanted to help end poverty. For Mary and I, it was love at first sight, believe me.

  27. So, my story ends here. Here is what I can tell you about my life. Mary and I are engaged, and we have moved into a nice house that is of American design. We are middle class, and we donate most excess money to Mary’s charity. We will go back to the U.S for our honeymoon (after our marriage, of course) to visit, but we plan to stay in Africa, because it changed our lives forever. I will never tell anybody about my secret, not even her! Only you will know…

  29. There was a young lady on the side of the road. I came up to her and asked her, “Do you know where the airport is?” She said, “Uh, it’s down the street.” WOOHOO! I was skipping down the road, but then I realized… MY WALLET WAS MISSING! I knew I had it when I crossed the border… That’s when I saw some crook running down the street with my black wallet in his hand. I yelled, “HEY! GET BACK HERE!” I was chasing him, but then I stopped. I wondered if maybe I should let him go… Nah. “C’MON! YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE!

  30. The man was not going to get away. A few minutes later, I tackled the man to the ground. He gave up, and I got my wallet back. I was off to the airport! When I arrived, I noticed something about the airport itself. It was a tiny, regional airport. But, it would do. So, I took a flight to an airport in Europe, and took another flight to California. I was home at last! I was very relieved. Finally, I could start a new life! Besides, nobody in California knew who Farra was…
