1. Hotmail IMAP And SMTP Settings The Hotmail mail service supports the IMAP and SMTP server settings. If you are using an email client to access your Hotmail account, the client should be configured with the IMAP and SMTP server settings of the Hotmail IMAP. Carry out the following steps to configure your hotmail IMAP and SMTP settings: On Outlook 2016: On your account click 'File' on the menu bar and select Account settings. Incoming mail server: imap-mail.outlook.com Outgoing mail server: smtp-mail.outlook.com Click on the More Settings button at the lower right side. Under the Outgoing Server tab, enable the SMTP authentication and then click OK for configuring hotmail IMAP. Go to the Advanced tab, enter the information given below, and select the OK button. IMAP mail server port: 993 Encrypted connection: SSL/TLS SMTP mail server port: 587 Encrypted connection: STARTTLS/TLS In the Account window, select Next to save the settings.
