  2. Rachel’s First Five Tuesday: (Quote of the Week) The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dreams shall never die.”

  3. Hispanic Heritage Month Nancy Lopez is a Mexican American who is one of the greatest women golfers of all time. She had an early start at greatness-she began to play golf at age 8. She was only 12 when she won the New Mexico Women’s Amateur tournament. One of the top pro golf money winners of all time, Lopez has won 48 titles. In 1989, she was inducted into the PGA World Golf Hall of Fame.

  4. SPIRIT NIGHT!!! Spirit Night is TONIGHT at Chipotle's from 5:00-9:00PM! 50% of all sales goes to Parkside. Please remind your parents. Flyer was sent home for can be printed off the Parkside website.

  5. PARKSIDE DANCE First Dance is this Friday from 7:00-9:00. Tickets will be on sale Wed, TH and Fri this week during all lunch shifts. Tickets are $4 and must be purchased during lunch. No tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket and completed permission form is required for admittance.

  6. PTO Bags! Clear bags are on sale this Wed, TH and Fri during all lunch shift for $5.

  7. Cheerleaders  There will be a MANDATORY parents meeting for all students interested in trying out for cheerleading AND step team on Wednesday, September 24th at 6:00 pm. If you are interested in participating in Cheer or Step this year, your parents must attend this meeting.

  8. After School Help with Mrs. Vanjani Mrs. Vanjani will be offering after school help today. A parent permission slip is required if you would like to stay.

  9. Thomas Jefferson HS for Science and Technology Attention 8th graders: Applications for Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology will be available through the Online Application System at www.TJADMISSIONS.ORG. on Monday, September 22. Please see Ms. DiMisa in Guidance for more information.

  10. Chef’s Club If you want to join the Chef Club please stop by the cafeteria and ask for a permission form. The first 25 students to return the form will be in the Chef’s Club The first meeting will be October 14, 2014 and the club will meet once a month after that.
