Starsby Robert Frost How countlessly they congregate O'er our tumultuous snow, Which flows in shapes as tall as trees When wintry winds do blow!– As if with keenness for our fate, Our faltering few steps on To white rest, and a place of rest Invisible at dawn,-- And yet with neither love nor hate, Those stars like some snow-white Minerva's snow-white marble eyes Without the gift of sight.

3. Summarization of Stars The beautiful skies with starts. As tall as trees. When the wind blows stars seem to go with it. Look like Snow Whites eyes. They are invisible at dawn. They symbolize neither love or hate. The sight of the stars give a gift.

4. Connection of Poem Stars Sitting in my hot tub looking up at the stars. Fireworks can connect to starts because of the way they explode in the sky. Laying on the grass looking up at the stars.

5. Theme of Poem for Stars The theme of this poem is to tell someone that the stars bring hope or cheer somebody up on a winter night when they are depressed. Stars brighten up the winter.

7. Storm Fearby Robert Frost When the wind works against us in the dark, And pelts with snow The lowest chamber window on the east, And whispers with a sort of stifled bark, The beast, 'Come out! Come out!'– It costs no inward struggle not to go, Ah, no! I count our strength, Two and a child, Those of us not asleep subdued to mark How the cold creeps as the fire dies at length,-- How drifts are piled, Dooryard and road ungraded, Till even the comforting barn grows far away And my heart owns a doubt Whether 'tis in us to arise with day And save ourselves unaided.

8. Summarization A big storm is coming. They are all scared. They can hear the winds of the storm. They lay awake listening to the storm creep up on them. Door blocked by snow drifts. As the storm ends the fear goes away. The storm ends in the morning and our fear has left us.

9. Connection • When I was little and was scared of storms. • It reminds me of all the snow drifts in the winter. • This reminds me of sitting by the fire in the winter and a storm starts up and all of the sudden the fire starts to go out and slowly fade away.

10. Theme • The theme of this poem is to conquer your fears mainly, but also to conquer the fear of a storm.

11. Visual of Poem This picture represents a child scared of something that is covering his eyes. This picture shows a barn with snow drifts covering a lot of it.

12. Dust of Snowby Robert Frost The way a crow Shook down on me The dust of snow From a hemlock tree Has given my heart A change of mood And saved some part Of a day I had rued.

13. Summarization • There is a crow on a tree branch. • The crow flew away and the snow on the tree branch fell on him. • After the snow fell on his shoulder it changed the way he was feeling. • It changed his day from good to bad.

Connection • I can connect this to being out in the winter and the snow falling on me from the trees when the wind blows. • I can connect to being outside during the winter and seeing birds flying. • I can connect this to a movie I have seen and a guy was walking out in the snow and the snow fell lightly on his shoulders.

15. Theme • The theme of this poem is the change of heart and decisions towards different subjects.

16. Visual The snowy tree during the winter with many birds in it. A broken heart because of the change in something.
