  2. Physical Map Revision • FEMA periodically reviews and reissues maps for entire communities • Last PMRs for Clark County 1995 and 2002 • Incorporates LOMRs since last PMR and large scale restudies • Next PMR for Clark County in process scheduled for publication November 2011

  3. FLOOD MAP CHANGE REQUESTED WILL RESULT IN INCREASES IN FLOOD HAZARD AREA

INDIVIDUAL NOTICE • Individual mailings prior to Flash Flood Season (May) • Make those affected aware of present flood risk • Schedule for map publication • Encourage to buy flood insurance now • Protect from flood risk now prior to map change • Rates are low • Keep rates lowest after map change (grandfathering) • Public open houses prior to map effective date

  8. Grandfathering • Purchase before map change • $350/year (building & contents) • $930/year after map changes (building only) • Purchase after map change • $930/year (building only built after 1989) • $1,7oo/year (building only built before 1989)
