  7. Characteristic of MCH hand book • Content was similar with child and maternal health card which present and used in MCH centers. 2. Written down with easy and general word for mothers to understand well so we do not use technical words. It is a friendly user book by health providers and clients. 3. Using realistic illustration for illiterate mothers if present.

Some impact of health providers & clients • We used to give extra food such as (cereals, bananas ,and apples )to our children at age of 4 months , now we only give breast milk up to 6 months .and extra food after the age of 6th months • .It changes many believes, I believe that the child should have high temp .while teething , but in the book it is written he should not. • From the book we knew that dizziness, tendency to sleep, and other changes which happened in early pregnancy are normal changes.

Continue-Some impact of health providers & client • It is well organized, complete & sequenced guide line for health provider. • In case of referral to any other health facility, the book is kept with the mother from which one can know details about the pregnancy. such as history. date of delivery, and follow up of pregnancy and the child. • I found that there is unification and standardization of health services.

Expected Impact of MCH Handbook • Provide standardized services at the national level (MOH, UNRWA, NGOs and private sectors). • Promotion of Behavior Changes and Communication strategies at community level. • Unify health education messages at National level (MOH, UNRWA, NGOs and private sectors). • Effective integration between primary and secondary health care.
