The Philosophy Of Carlsbad Wave F.C The philosophy of our club is to develop and promote: • An enjoyable environment where every child should have a chance to play the exciting game of soccer, no matter their age, skill level, or financial standing • Teamwork • Sports Discipline • A positive attitude and sports ethics • Self confidence and respect • We encourage both our coaches and our children to learn and advance their skills, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

  6. Club Background • Carlsbad Wave F.C was formed in 1981. Major Milestone: Celebrating our 30th anniversary this season!!!!! • Established Specifically as a Low Cost Alternative to Larger Area Soccer Clubs. • Offers Recreational and Competitive soccer. • 501c(3) Non-profit Organization. • Placement of players are evaluated by age and ratings from the previous season and teams are assigned by committee . • Governed by Executive Board • This season a great number of La Costa area families have joined the Carlsbad Wave FC community (previously played for AYSO)…great opportunity for the club to expend and provide services to the entire Carlsbad soccer community rather than only to the North Carlsbad . • Carlsbad Wave FC Coastal Classic tournament. A class 1 competitive soccer tournament . Great exposure for our club and our city.

  7. Who do we serve? • Primary Customers – Players, Players, Players !!!! The club this season has 97 rec. teams, 28 competitive and 1400+ youth players--boys and girls ages 5 – 18. • Supporting Customers – Parents – Coaches – Volunteers

Preferred Banner Program • Bring in a team sponsor and receive your team banner for FREE • Simply ask you team members to find a sponsor • Sponsor pays $300 to become a team sponsor • They receive all of the benefits of Wave sponsorship • Logo on Banner • Listing on website for 1 year • Logo on team shirts • Team receives standard 3’x5’ banner with simple design

Referee Program • U8 – trained center referee volunteer.  Youth referee gets $10 CASH at the end of the game for their participation. • U10 – trained center referee volunteer.  Youth or Adult referee gets $20 CASH at the end of the game for their participation. • U12-U19 – Referees provided by central San Diego referee association. How can I referee? • U8-U10 - We will have age specific training over the next few months at a convenient time and location for you.  You will then be placed on an eligibility roster and when the season begins you will be able to sign up for games.  It’s that simple! • U12-U19 – If you are interested in becoming a USSF Referee please visit http://www.calsouth.com/en/referees/ref-schedule/. I’m already a trained referee, now what? • U8-U10 - Great!  Please email Chris Hoolihan at refdudehooli@att.net and let him know you’d like to be placed on the referee list for the fall. • If you are interested in more information or have any questions please email Chris.

  18. Referee Program Home Team is responsible for payment to referee at time of game! NO EXCEPTIONS!! What happens if there is no referee? • Trained parent volunteers to referee game • Coaches split the task (each take ½ game) and AC coaches. Remember this is REC soccer and it’s all about fun!

FridayNight Clinics August 5th – September 30th (except Labor Day weekend) Stagecoach Field 1 6:00- 7:30 PM 7:45-8:45 PM Coaches “Clinic” • Encourage your team to attend as an additional practice! • Coached by same group of professional coaches each week enabling them to customize the clinic to the kids development!
