  3. Charing Cross • Charing Cross denotes the junction of the Strand, Whitehall and Cockspur Street, just south of Trafalgar Square in central London. It gives its name to several local landmarks, including Charing Cross railway station, one of the main London rail termini.

  4. Madame Tussaud's Museum • Madame Tussauds is a wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities. It was founded by waxsculptorMarie Tussaud and was formerly known as "Madame Tussaud's", but the apostrophe is no longer used.[ Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and infamous murderers.

  5. Sherlock Holmes's Museum • The Sherlock Holmes' Museum • In the 1880s a young doctor sat waiting for new patients who never came. To pass the time, he wrote stories about a man who was very good at solving crimes. These stories were so popular that the doctor decided to give up medicine and become a writer instead. The doctor was Arthur Conan Doyle and his' creation was Sherlock Holmes. • Holmes and his famous friend Doctor Watson shared rooms at 221b Baker Street.

  7. The London Eye • A recent but already very popular tourist attraction is the London Eye, a giant observation wheel located in the Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank. The 135 meter (443ft) tall structure was built as part of London's millennium celebrations.
