  5. Life on the Mission *Indians of the Mission • First called Acjachemen • Peaceful people, not a 'war' tribe • Hunters and gatherers • Arrival of the Spanish Missionaries and soldiers (Padres)- life changed and now called Juanenos after San Juan Capistrano.
