  3. AUTHORITY • SB 911-Chapter 631, Statutes of 2004 • California Government Code Sections 53115.1 and 53115.2 CALNENA CONFERENCE

MEMBERSHIP Board Members are Appointed by the Governor as Follows: • 1 Representative from California Highway Patrol • 2 Representatives from California Police Chiefs Assn • 2 Representatives from California State Sheriffs Assn • 2 Representatives from California Fire Chiefs Assn • 2 Representatives from CalNENA Executive Board • 1 Representative on Joint Recommendation from the State Chapters of APCO • Chief of the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office Will Serve as the Nonvoting Chairperson CALNENA CONFERENCE

ROLE OF THE BOARD Advise the Public Safety Communications Division on: • Policies, Practices, and Procedures for the California 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Office • Technical and Operational Standards for the California 9-1-1 System Consistent with NENA Standards • Training Standards for County Coordinators and PSAP Managers • Budget, Funding, and Reimbursement Decisions Related to the State Emergency Telephone Number Account (SETNA) • Proposed Projects and Studies Conducted or Funded by the SETNA • Expediting the Rollout of Enhanced 9-1-1 Phase II CALNENA CONFERENCE

MEETINGSWhen Does the Board Meet & Who Can Attend? • The Advisory Board Shall Meet Quarterly in Public Sessions in Accordance With the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act • Meetings Are Held Alternately in Northern and Southern California • Next Meeting is March 10th in San Diego San Diego County Administration Building 1700 Pacific Highway, Room 302-303 10 a.m. CALNENA CONFERENCE

HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?We Need Your Help & Input!! • Contact Any Member of the Board with Your Ideas or Questions • Attend the Quarterly Meetings and Provide Input During the Public Comment Period • Keep Abreast of Board Action via the 9-1-1 Website (Agenda, Minutes, & related documents) CALNENA CONFERENCE
