Summary • NSTAR and WMECO have and continue to make solid progress in meeting DG Interconnection Tracking and Reporting requirements • NSTAR’s automated Tracking and Reporting project is proceeding on schedule – Phase 1 successfully implemented in March • WMECO’s automated solution to be modeled after the NSTAR design to leverage significant IT effort to date and align NU companies • Interim Tracking and Reporting approach addresses reporting requirements albeit manually intensive • Both Companies are firmly committed to ongoing improvements regarding reporting, applicant communications, etc.

NSTAR Passport ProjectRobust Solution Scope Integrate the DG Interconnection process into the Passport Work Management System, leveraging the highly successful existing process used for New Customer Connects Key Capabilities • Standardized, repeatable process that provides high visibility and control points • Multiple customer touch points and controlled start / stoppages per tariff • Financial Controls – Fees and CIAC payments • SLA’s timeframes established, monitored and measured • Work Order backlog prevention / clean up • Standardized reports though one database • Ability to check project status online using work-order ID • Increased customer satisfaction

NSTAR Passport ProjectSolid Progress and On Schedule Status / Recent Progress Phase I - DG Simplified Process • Implemented on March 11ahead of schedule • Successfully met 99% Simplified Application timelines from March 11th to date Next Steps / Schedule Phase II – Expedited / Standard / Network Process • System design completed – quite complex • IT programming is in process • Full implementation targeted for December

WMECO Tracking SolutionLeverage NSTAR Efforts Status • WMECO will leverage the significant IT and workflow effort that has gone into the NSTAR designed DG business process • Plan to align practices between NU companies wherever possible • Currently working to finalize technology platform for WMECO automated system • Automated solution and schedule established by end of Q2 • Expect significant progress during Q3 and Q4

NSTAR and WMECO Current ReportingInterim Solution • We will address our current reporting obligations in parallel with completing the much need automated solutions at both companies • Using the Working Group approved DG Interconnection Tracking and Reporting template we will report out to the DOER monthly • The manual report will include all required information (e.g., starts/ stops clock) • Attached are samples of the NSTAR and WMECO populated DOER DG monthly reports • Begin this reporting with the June report

  9. Next Steps • Ensure NSTAR and WMECO automation projects proceed on schedule • Continue to identify opportunities to improve upon the tracking and reporting process • Provide regular updates to the Working Group regarding our progress and any potential issues encountered
