2. Installation by Micro USB cable STEP1- Preparation Download all content (Demo App, Demo content) Check all items ready (Micro-USB line) Check Device at channel and internet ready STEP2- Install demo app STEP3- Initial device set-up STEP4- Final check STEP5- Register demo device

3. STEP1. Preparation – Check all required items • Make sure your Micro-USB line can transfer data • Make sure your channel has the device ready and internet functional even with firewall

4. STEP1. Preparation – Download all content to your PC • Download “A80_DemoApp_0430.zip” and “A80_demo_content_0430.zip” file from webserver: http://www.asus.com/microsite/demo/Padfone_Infinity.htm • Unzip all files • Connect A80 via Micro USB cable to PC

Preparation – Download all content to your PC • Copy demo app backup files to A80 root directory: • demoapp.abu (ASUSDemo1.0.33.apk & TimeRecord.apk) • Copy demo content files to A80: • Copy “PadFone Infinity Camera” this folder from “A80_demo_content/images – camera” to A80 device this address “/DCIM/Camera/” • Copy “Demo Photos” this folder from “A80_demo_content/images -demo” to A80 device this address “/images - demo/ to /Pictures/” • Copy all Content from “A80_demo_content/movies/” to A80 device this folder “ /Movies/” • Copy all content from “A80_demo_content/music/” to A80 device this folder “/Music/”

6. STEP2. Install demo app – 1/3 1. 2. 3. 4. • Wait for power on • Go to Apps list and click [App Backup] • Scroll down End User License Agreement page and click [ok] • Click [Start]

9. STEP3. Initial device set-up – Screen saver setting 2. 1. 3. 4. 1. Click [Settings] -> [Display] 2. Check [Enable the Screen Saver] 3. Click [Screen Saver settings] 4. Check [Enable the Screen Saver], [Quick Launch] & [Padfone video showcase]

10. STEP3: Initial device set-up – Launch Demo App 2. 1. 1. Go to Apps list and click [Time Record] 2. Click [start Time Record Service] 3. Screensaver will start playing and touch the screen to go to download page 4. Click [Start Tutorial] and wait for loading - Finish

STEP3: Initial device set-up – Demo content setup • Set display brightness to maximum: Settings -> Display -> Brightness • Add the following apps to home screen on both phone & pad: “Play Music”, “ASUS Studio”, “ASUS E-mail” widget, “ASUS Battery” widget & “PadFone Assistant” widget (only available for pad) Home Home Page 2 ASUS Battery widget ASUS Email widget Asus Studio & Play Music ASUS Battery widget Pad Page 2 ASUS E-mail widget PadFone Assistant (available for pad only) Asus Studio & Play Music Phone Phone Pad

STEP3: Initial device set-up – E-Mail Account Setup 1/2 Follow the steps below for setup china-demo1@demo.asus.com Go to “Settings” Scroll to “Accounts” Select “Add account” Select “Email” Enter the Email address and password Select “Next” Select “Exchange” Please contact Manolo Winkler Manolo_Winkler@asus.com and JasonMJ Huang JasonMJ_Huang@asus.com for your country email and passwords

STEP3: Initial device set-up – E-Mail Account Setup 2/2 Follow the steps below for setup asus\china-demo1 mymail.asus.com Enter the account details: Domain\Username: asus\china-demo1 Password: !1234chi Server: mymail.asus.com Check: Use secure connection (SSL) Set “Inbox checking frequency” to “Every hour” Check all checkboxes, i.e. “Send email from this account by default” and “Automatically download attachments …” The demo account is set up. Click “Next” to complete the process. The demo account is available in the email app.

14. STEP4. Final Check • Press power button  Does the demo video play automatically? • Touch the screen  Demo app displayed? Is the language correct? • Touch “Home” button  Are all widgets on the right position? • Open “E-Mail”  Are the 3 demo e-mails in the mailbox? • Open “Play Music”  Is the music there? • Open “ASUS Studio”  Are the demo images there? Are the movies there? •  If everything OK, move on to device registration

15. STEP5. Register demo device – 1/8 • Check the Wi-fi Mac address & Serial numberTap [settings]  [About padfone][Status]check [Wi-fi MAC address] & [Serial number]  

16. STEP5. Register demo device – 2/8 • Key in the mac address and serial number on [eCommerce] • Local sales (or Key-in person) must have ASUS eCommerce ID & password • Choose [Channel management][AA website][Account Management]

17. STEP5. Register demo device – 3/8 • Key in the mac address and serial number on [eCommerce] • Choose the retailer or dealer’s [Account]click in • Scroll the webpage down to [Basic][Demo machine info]Click [New Demo Machine] Select [Approved dealer] Select search criteria  Click [Query]

18. STEP5. Register demo device – 4/8  Check the searching result and click the shop’s account which you need.

19. STEP5. Register demo device – 5/8  Enter this page.  Scroll down till you see this section of [Basic]  [Demo Machine Info]  Click [New Demo Machine] to start key in

20. STEP5. Register demo device – 6/8  Key in [Serial Number] and [MAC Address] here  Then click [Save]

21. STEP5. Register demo device – 7/8 • Registered successfully And the machine status will be shown as “New” here. If registered successfully, then system will respond a message here If registered successfully, then the product spec will be shown on the page.

22. STEP5. Register demo device – 8/8 • Registered failed Then the page will be refreshed as blank . If fail to registered, then system will respond with a message here. • Please start over and make sure you key in the correct serial number and mac address
