Training and Certification

Differences between E&S and Stormwater Training and Certification

  • E&S

  • PEs, LLAs, LAs, LLSs and PSSs are considered qualified to do plan review without the Plan Review Course and Exam

  • Everyone needs to take the classes or the online recertification exam to maintain their certification

  • VSMP

  • Everyone needs to take the Plan Review Course and Exam to be qualified to do plan review

  • PEs, LLAs, LAs, and LLSs are required to take the initial exam, after which they only need to pay for the renewal of the certificate
